RECOMMENDED FABRIC: white Aida. This is a partial-coverage design, so the bare fabric between the stitched blue stripes IS the white stripe - that contrast is the whole look. DMC 747 Sky Blue Very Light is the palest floss in the chart and the one closest in value to the fabric, so a bright white Aida gives the crispest stripe definition. Cream or ivory also works and simply turns the white stripes cream. Please avoid dark or strongly colored fabric - both flosses are pale by design and will not read against it.
