Anatomical Heart Cross Stitch Pattern PDF - a floral anatomical heart in coral, raspberry and violet, charted for beginners: 9 DMC colours, no backstitch.
A deep coral and orange heart with navy-teal vessels, opening into raspberry and dusty-rose blooms, small violet flowers and curling grape-dark tendrils. Bold outlines and flat, saturated colour give it a traditional tattoo-flash look - anatomy drawn as decoration rather than as a diagram. It is warm and bright rather than black-and-grey, but the darks do the work: the aorta and the great vessels are DMC 939 Navy Blue Very Dark and 930 Antique Blue Dark, and the tendrils and small blossoms run through 3834 Grape Dark, 917 Plum Medium and 327 Violet. Four of the nine colours are deep jewel tones, which is what keeps a heart-and-flowers subject on the gothic, dark-romantic side of pretty.
It is worked in full cross stitches only. No backstitch, no fractional stitches, no French knots - just counted squares. That is what makes a 9-colour chart like this one a genuinely comfortable first "real" project, and a fast, relaxing one if you have been stitching for years.
