Medieval cross stitch pattern PDF: a frog knight in a plumed helm rides a goose through the night sky, carrying a book to a moonlit library tower.

He has one job and he is taking it seriously. Armour in moss green and dark golden olive, a deep wine cape streaming behind him, a soft pink plume on the helm, and a satchel stamped with a gold crescent, the same crescent that hangs above him with a single lit window burning inside it. The goose is unbothered. Straight out of the marginalia of a medieval manuscript, where knights ride birds and nobody explains why.

Made for the book lovers as much as the fantasy stitchers, if your to-be-read pile has its own courier, this is him. A dark academia piece with a sense of humour.

FABRIC The background is left unstitched, so the fabric colour is part of the finished piece. Recommended: black or charcoal Aida, both are shown in the photos and every colour in the palette stands clear against them. Navy is shown too and works well, with one thing to know: DMC 939 Navy Blue Very Dark carries the satchel and sits closest to a navy ground, so that element reads softer there. Please avoid white, cream and ivory: the goose is stitched in DMC 3823 Yellow Ultra Pale and 644 Beige-Grey Medium, and on a pale fabric the largest shape in the design loses its edges.

Personal use

Good to know

You are buying a PDF chart, not a finished piece and not a kit. No fabric, floss or hoop is included. Colors on a screen can look different from real DMC floss. The preview shows how the finished piece could look. Your result depends on fabric count and floss. Files are in English. You need a PDF reader to open the charts. Free ones work fine.

Returns

Because this is an instant download, all sales are final. No refunds, returns or exchanges once the files are available. If a file will not open, the download stops halfway, or you got the wrong item, message me and I will fix it.

Print it. Hoop it. Stitch it loud.
